Hey Fam in Christ!
Things in Bideford are blessed praise the Lord. Def. have our days where we miss the states and it's quite challenging but where that abounds grace has abounded that much more! We've begun to settle in each day and the Lord has begun to open some really really neat doors to build relationships in the community here.
The School (Kingsley school) has begun to open up to us a bit more and invited us to not only advise at the Christian Union (The Christian club on campus) on Tues. at 1pm-2pm but they've also asked Niki and I to begin teaching Basketball and helping coach the basketball team for the school...I'll be doing clinics after school on Tues and Thurs. (4-430pm) and Niki will eventually be helping with the girls once they've begun to show interest. (the girls don't have anything basketball wise, but hopefully as the girls sign up Niki will then have girls to work with!) We're really praising the Lord for this opportunity as this medium of Basketball is perhaps a way that may facilitate relationships being built with Kids, Parents, and the Staff of the School within the Bideford Community.
CCWoolacombe will move to the United Methodist church in Nov...the council of the Methodist churches okayed the lease! So we'll be starting a Youth Sunday Service in association with the regular Adult Sunday Service as of Nov, Lord willing.
Please pray for our involvement at the School, that the Lord would bless our relationship there and that His will would be done as we serve there through the week at the CU and through Basketball.
Pray for the studies in CCW as Nov. approaches
Pray for Finances, we were really shy this past month, and had to cut back a bit on food, but the Lord is faithful to provide as He guides and we've made it thru yet another month!
Pray for our marriage and friendship relationships as we're here, that the Lord would guard us and give us discernment on balancing time, ministry, and personal quality time with each other and our friends and neighbors here
Pray for our endurance as our schedule seems to be picking up and our energy is winding down ;)
Pray for our Trip to the states as we visit both sides of the family (California Dec.8-25 and Pennsylvania Dec.26th-Jan. 12) that we would be refreshed and that we would find a sale on our return flights to the U.K. as we're still looking to buy those tickets!
