Don and Marta Patten

We are so grateful for those of you that were praying for our trip to Ukraine. We helped to teach at a regional conference. The theme was God's love, and in His love God touched many peoples' lives. One time after I taught a retired military man started crying very strong and he later shared that he had not cried for years and he did not even understand what caused him to cry. On the last day of the conference he told everyone that it was as if he was freed from within and that he felt renewed after he cried. Others also shared how the Lord touched their lives. Marta shared with the women and they were really encouraged. Another pastor who taught did such a wonderful job of helping us to see that God is love and perfect in love and we are complete in Him.

Pray for Sergei, who after the last teaching repented, we pray for a true change in his life as he was just divorced from his wife Alla, who was also at the conference. Pray for the Lord to do a deep work in Sergei and Alla's lives and that His will would be what they seek after.

It was difficult to travel in Ukraine as there was a heat wave, though we were thankful to be able to visit Poltava as well. Pray for Pastor Eric and his wife Tanya to be strengthened and to have wisdom in ministry in Poltava. Pray for a man named Vlad that is serving in the village Chutova, recently they started Sunday morning services. Pray for Vlad to have a shepherd's heart and for the Lord's leading in Vlad's life.

We came back to Hungary on the 21st. I am teaching once a week the young people with the "Vision for Life" program. Pray for effectiveness in those teachings and for lasting change in their hearts as they are here for 2 more weeks. Lord willing I will share the 31st of July and 1st of Aug. in one on the ministries of Calvary Chapel in Budapest, pray for that also.

We just spoke with Kefas in Lagos, Nigeria. He is continuing on in the ministry, last Sunday the Lord really encouraged them in the time of worship there. He asked for prayer for a family that are his neighbors that seem to be believers but are contemplating divorce. Kefas also mentioned that he has been a little discouraged. Please keep him in prayer as the other man helping him after we left Lagos has return to
Abuja and Kefas is there alone now. We are trusting God to lead him in a new season of fruitfulness.

Thank you for praying, Don and Marta Patten
